Youth survey data will be shared from national data sources that will educate the audience about the root causes of bullying, highest rates of bullying by grade level, and why victims are targeted for bullying. Environmental strategies will be discussed in this interactive session that will seek solutions for the prevention of bullying, and how we can build resiliency in our units, as well as recognize it and respond accordingly. The ultimate objective is to establish Young Marine units that are ???bully-free??? and positive places for young people to build character and integrity for life. | DDR Warrior | DDR warriors have been educating Adult Volunteers, Young Marines, and community members about the dangers of drugs and fighting this war for quite some time. The Getting Publicity slideshow is a crash course that includes how to recognize news stories in your unit, then how to package the story to make it irresistible to the media. With a little know-how, your unit's story can end up in the coveted FREE space in newspapers and/or FREE minutes on TV. | Melting the Snowflake | The Melting the Snowflake slideshow examines how today's parents and parenting styles are changing and offer strategies for minimizing conflict between AVs and parents. | Pillars of DDR | As one of the pillars of our program, Drug Demand Reduction is essential for the success of both your Young Marines and your Unit!
